The Sandoval County Historical Society & Museum (SCHS&M) was established in 1977 . We are a non-profit corporation with members from all over the county. Our mission is to promote greater appreciation for and a better understanding of the history and traditions of Sandoval County, New Mexico.

Through the generous 1989 gift of the artist Edmond DeLavy, the Sandoval County Historical Society has the DeLavy House as an office, event center, meeting space and home for our extensive archives.
Our events are free to the public.
